FAQS:
A place for common curiosities & questions.
-
When you’re looking for support, it can be challenging to get started. I recommend scheduling a complimentary 15-minute virtual consultation to go over any questions you may have about the therapy process.
-
When beginning therapy, research shows that weekly or bi-weekly therapy appointments will create more effective outcomes. Each person or relationship has different needs and we can best determine frequency of sessions once we begin working together.
-
The length of therapy can vary for each individual, couple, relationship, or family. After our initial session, we’ll explore the goals you’d like to focus on, and those will guide our work together. Many clients find it beneficial to commit to at least six months of therapy, while others find the benefits of longer-term therapy support. For ongoing clients who have established a foundation, I am happy to offer as-needed or maintenance sessions.

I do not accept any insurance. I am an out-of-network, private-pay provider. Upon request, I can provide a Superbill (a receipt of services) that you are able to submit for potential reimbursement through your insurance.
-
If you are interested in submitting superbills for out-of-network insurance reimbursement, I suggest you call the member services phone number on the back of your insurance card and ask the following questions:
1. Does your insurance cover out-of-network outpatient behavioral health services?
2. What is your deductible when you see an out-of-network outpatient behavioral health provider?
3. Once that deductible is met, what percentage does your insurance reimburse?
4. How many visits are you allowed per calendar year?
5. Do your benefits differ if you are seeking individual therapy, couples therapy, or group therapy?
6. Does your insurance require that you have preauthorization prior to sessions with a therapist? -
I accept debit, credit, & HSA/FSA cards for payment. I accept major credit/debit cards and HSA/FSA payments via the client portal. Payments are automatically processed on the service date. Please check with your individual HSA/FSA plan around coverage for services and any potential gaps for eligibility.
-
